9:00*    Walking Tour of Thoreau's Town Concord Museum

  • Start by viewing the Museum's permanent collection. Then, visit 
    sites in Concord that were part of Thoreau's 19th century life. 
    Finish the tour at the Museum to explore the new exhibition 
    “Visiting Thoreau's Walden”. It offers a perspective on a variety 
    of visitors to the Pond. Refreshments in the courtyard.

  • This will be the first of 3 screenings of this remarkable film at the 
    MMNHP Visitor’s Center. It’s 100 min. long. There will be time 
    to talk to the film maker after each screening and after the Friday 
    9 am program. VHS and DVD copies on sale after each screening,
     at the Shop at Walden Pond, and the Book Signing.  Refer to Page 
    10 for transportation information.

  1. John Wawrzonek's exhibit: The Illuminated Walden, Vol II 
    is on display at the Tsongas Gallery May 3-September 4.
    John Wawrzonek & Ron Bosco will be at the Book Signing 
    to autograph copies of The Illuminated Walden.

  2. FREE van service on Thursday only for those without cars.
    The routes & schedule are on page 10 of this program.

  3. End times for outdoors activities & events are approximate.

Walden Pond State Reservation charges $5 per vehicle fee.
There’s no free parking. Parking is limited; please carpool.

This program schedule is subject to change.
